The Gala Events
 

The first time I saw the Beastie Boys was at the Gala Event in Chicago. I went to both shows, two days in a row. THE BEST live show I have ever been to. Hands down. Not only was it a great performance but it was inspirational to keep going with my own music. I know they filmed it, but I wonder if it's ever coming out! Anybody know anything about this?

they filmed at Chicago, Detroit, and Los Angeles but no one knows of the future of any of the footage.

they even encouraged fans to film themselves leading up to the Chicago Events.

in LA, there was a suited up cameraman with a very old school style camera filming the crowds gathering and there were notices that a film shoot was going on all over the Wiltern Theater.

That's genius! one of these days it will come out, and I will go crazy. I get chills just watching "awesome i fucking shot that". Which was another brilliant idea. It must of takin ages to put all that together.
