Good band, they were just in Seattle but I missed 'em over the weekend at Easy Street records.

I've seen them on TV (which was exceptional) play and a good friend I share musical tastes in says they are really great live.

Undecided so far after listening to teasers, but cheers for the stream. Will listen this afternoon and try to make up my mind properly (y)

It's definitely a darker album than Carnavas or Swoon...it can be a sad listen at times. Some electronic elements are also scattered in, but not to the point where it doesn't feel like a proper SSPU album.

They were in Portland doing a free acoustic show last week, but I unfortunately had to miss 'em. I plan on catching them in a couple weeks at Sasquatch, though.

I'd say my favorite track thus far off Neck Of The Woods is "Gun-Shy Sunshine".

I was at that Easy Street show. Brian sounded awesome acoustic, hitting some great notes, perfectly on. A friend once told me they were crap live and he couldn't sing and play guitar at the same time. That friend is clearly an idiot.

Anyway, I'm digging the new album. Not a huge step forward, they very much have a throughline to their sound but I like it so that's not a bad thing. I don't think they'll be able to get away with another one this much the same, though. Unless they wait a long time to make another album.

I also like Gun Shy Sunshine and Make Believe.

This band is awesome. First time hearing about them. Thanks for sharing, Spencer. My favorite tracks from that album are Mean Spirits and Gun-Shy Sunshine.
