So

I went on a 2 day boys days out

Picked up Saturday 8 am

Return Sunday 8 pm

2 rounds of golf

3 hours of sleep

Driven in the 6 series convertible


Anyway. Thought my wife was cool about it all.

Here's the email I sent her today. After she hasn't talked to me for the day. She emailed me telling me I don't make her a big enough priority... My response

no its not that simple. We cant end it right now and be done that easily. 3 attorneys and myself get paid by the hour, you’ll be here all day. Cancel your tee time. 8 hours later, we are all on the same page I was on at 9:30 am. I am so happy the attorneys got paid by my Insurance. Not to be confused with health insurance.

Anyway, the only other bigger misuse of funds I have seen is the tax paid attorney. That’s a whole other confidential deal.

I am guessing when the BB sued monster, they paid the attorneys cash, leading to a quick resolution….

On another note I got offered a job by a high profile law enforcement type to buy weed. Sounds cool, but I cant get paid to put my friends in jail. Not to mention I have to buy it without smoking it if i accept.

This is an important and seldom appreciated cultural distinction. I do find that "cookie" is catching on in the UK though. Regardless, the population appears to be divided in its usage and the acceptance of the word "cookie" for "biscuit".

On a somewhat related note, I find it strange that Christmas crackers are not crackers at all. Also a tea biscuit is not a biscuit. Strange how a few hundred years can make communication in English so confusing due to divergent cultural evolution between two english cultures divided by the Atlantic ocean. Also, who gives the English the right to own the English language -- irony with a wink.

I have a weird undiagnosed throat infection/inflammation, it's getting better, but I'm waiting for lab results to see what it is. Also what's dumb is, I slept half the day on Tuesday (not on purpose, just felt shitty and dosed off on the couch) in a weird position and fucked up my hip tendons, so it hurts to sit and lie down. So I've just been standing and walking as much as possible, but I'm sick ish, so I wanna relax, but I can't. What a dumb week. Could be worse I guess.

Hi Dorothy, I hope everything is alright. I had some weird similar issues and my thyroid tested way high. I was almost relieved to hear there was an answer. I even had the sore throat when I swallowed and everything was pointing to the thyroid gland and it seemed I was on my way to treatment...

But then it tested normal and I am still feeling lethargic, sluggish and cloudy headed. message from DR. - no more treatment or evaluation is required. so I am even more frustrated and confused than before. fuck that doctor. well, I hope it works out for you.

Thanks, I think I'll be alright. My hips are better after a little Advil and stretching. The throat was never diagnosed, tested negative for typical infections, but I think I know what it is...a fungal infection. I have been really stressed out and it's dry, and I was eating a lot of sugar and starchy food, way more cheese, and chocolate milk, probably drinking booze too often too. So, I stopped eating sugar and refined carbs. Gargled with salt water, and my throat got better. It's still healing, so I have a cool deep voice now, but I think I solved it. If not, gotta find a specialist who won't just shrug it off because I seem healthy. But that'll be $$$$, so I hope it clears like it seems to be.

I miss all the garbage I was eating, and drinking at band practice, but I feel way better without it.
