Re: PWR2MCA Project

^^^^ Thats awesome Frank! Good work. Its awesome how much support MCA has in this country, world etc.....
I made my tweet @djskrilla: GET WELL SOON MCA!! #PWR2MCA @BeastieBoys @Ms_Pac_Man_723 @M1XMASTERM1KE @Copeland_Ent http://pic.twitter.com/EJCosF6D
...and as far as for the cause I am donating time (and my GF too) at the local animal shelter in my town (its a no kill shelter)... also I have some old Grand Royal mags I was going to list on ebay and when listing them, you can donate a 10%-100% percent of the final price to a nonprofit of my choice! So who should I choose? I will post the final value when finished. (y)

...finally, last night I zipped up all my beastie pictures, logos, magazines and uploaded them so everyone can share. These pictures are from years of saving on the web etc. (I have been a member since alt.music.beastieboys)... enjoy http://bit.ly/HJMUwn

i donate to a lot of causes...do you need some kind of proof in order to participate?

Re: PWR2MCA Project

I don't think you do CJ. It's just open to whoever wants to donate now/and or just show support online. I guess Sarah will explain more when she comes back.

Frank, awesome! (y)

DJ_Skrilla love what you did on the Pwr2Mca!!!

CJ; you don't need proof. It's an HONOUR system; old skool!

I am not representing an official foundation so I didn't think it was ethical for me to demand receipts from people; especially when these receipts might reveal personal information (real names, credit card info, PayPal user ID, etc).

There’s no way I can tell if people are screwing with us. All I can do is hope that the karma police are on our side.

So far, people have been so heartfelt in their desire to help that it’s hard for me to believe they’re not genuinely donating……

…….especially when you consider that almost everyone has shared their full name and contact details with me on my private email (even though I didn’t ask for it). We have also been contacted by the Pablove Foundation, who thanked us for our support and offered help with the project. A number of people have donated to them. It’s truly amazing.

I am very touched by everyone’s involvement. I hope Yauch will be, too!

xoxo

Yauch is popular among almost anyone involved in the music business. Like a modern day Beastie John Lennon!

Sweet that Mixmastermike and Cey Adams gave shouts and RTs. Super dope!

The thought of a DJ army rising up for Yauch?

That's a beautiful thing.

UH-UH! NO!

NO pestering the boys! Don't make me waggle my finger at you in the style of my nanna!

This is NOT why we're doing this. To invade Yauch's privacy? No.

We can show him we care without pressuring him.

Sorry to carry on like a raw prawn, CJ.

It's just that I would be horrified if Yauch found out about this and thought the whole thing was a scheme to bully him onto the blog.

We're doing this to GIVE thanks to Yauch; not to RECEIVE thanks from him.

Are you cross with me for going off at you, now?

Sorry.

I don't mean to be a nag. I just wanna do the right thing by him. (I'm not suggesting that you DON'T want to.)

What do you think?
xoxo

It's okay Sarah. I don't think he will be horrified by any of this. If he or the boys want to update then they will and if they don't want to then they won't. Don't stress, it won't backfire on you. ;) Now look at me telling you not worry lol.

I think we do need something. And really they might not be saying anything because they are preoccupied with other things. They might not even realize the worry or conversations going on here. I can go for "he's doing okay, progressing". It's the same thing they said last year around this time. Mix Master Mike said Adam was doing well and that was July 2011. How could it be so bad now???

Anyway........positive thoughts, positive thoughts. PWR2MCA!!

Thanks Jo.

I AM worried, though. Can't help it.

I really, really, REALLY hope what I've done will be OK with him.

:(

I have moments of doubt.

Thankyou for your reassurance, though. Your opinion on this means a great deal to me. You know that.

These kids will be waving the Beastie flag after we’re all long gone!

Luke is Frank’s son and he loves the Beasties!

Well you're getting attention from all the right people, fans, media, people who personally know Yauch. Like I say he doesn't have to answer us, it's his call. None of the Pwr2MCA messages say "please please talk to us." It's all about support and we all get that. Now if we do get feedback then great, if not then just keep keepin on hoping for the best.

Ahhh Frank's kids are wonderful! Thank U Frank!

We just got a retweet from Luscious Jackson!

Really thrilled about that one! It means a lot.

If you get a RT from anybody you think would be significant to Adam, please let me know because I'm taking screenshots of all the big RTs and including them in his mail pack.

I want him to know which of his friends had our back.

Y'all know where to find me!

I just think this one is so cool:

Thad 'MCScoobyT' McCauley donated 90 handmade clay bowls created by his 3rd grade art class, in Denver; to Empty Bowls at Gateway High School.

I just love hearing about all the different ideas!

Thanks Thad!

Thank you MsPacMan! Art and the childhood willingness to: help, create, share and give... all are in the ethos of Yauch.
