Beastie Boys & Cey Adams featured in Grammy Museum Hip Hop Exhibit
 

I took a sneak peek of this exhibit last week, and No Sleep Till Brooklyn/Fight For Your Right was blasting on a boom box the size of an entire wall.

Cey Adams is the featured artist, his work covers the entire floor and reflects the evolution of hip hop as well as some subtle Beastie references.

check it out if you are in downtown LA near The Staples Center/LA Live/Nokia complex.

unfortunately, photos are not allowed, MXY. only in the lobby, which features a Janis Joplin inspired VW bug and some famous guitars from various musicians...

the boom box itself has a video screen, so the aforementioned songs were in the form of their music videos.

a really cool retrospective, nonetheless.

i wonder if this is the same exhibit i saw at the brooklyn museum in 2000. i did take pics and the beasties were well represented there as well!

I don't think so cj, this was curated in conjunction with a book of the same name to be released this year...

but I would like to see those photos!

i just looking at the website you posted there are some similarities....i remember seeing the handwritten tupac lyrics. my pics were predigital camera...so i need to scan them.
