My name is Alex and I'm from Vancouver, BC. I've been messing around with Reason 3.0 and love getting big beats pumping. My buddy Dan just came to town and we spent the day recording a tribute song to the old school Beastie Boys. It is raw and the lyrics are obscene but I personally can't stop listening to it. I took the second verse from the Beastie track called TIME and remixed it with Adobe Audition and inserted it as our final verse on this track. Props to the b-boys for releasing their vocals so we can all have so much fun with it!

I am Firefly and I'm a hardcore / drum & bass producer. Got bored with hardcore so decided to try producing something different. I will be working with a rapper in the near future so I made some beats with Beastie Boys acapella's on top of them to see if I could produce hip hop.

Hi. Ive just started getting serious (in a fun way) about mixing and re-mixing. Just starting out, but what got me into it is im really a bboy, so i love the music. |I love the beastie boys but I've only done the 1 beastie boys remix so far, it's on my myspace (link in signature) so take a listen and let me know what you think. There's a couple of other things on there too, and one downloadable mix, so help yourselves. But dont forget to leave me a comment!

Oh yeah! I made my first Beastie Boys remix in 1999 it was Body Movin I used the acapella off of the single. I just got a new setup and I'm gonna get to work on a new remix or two. I'm learning how to use Ableton Live, anybody ever use that? I got Live Lite version 6.something. I got a new computer and a new midi controller and I'm all ready to go I just gotta get down to it.
