I'll pass the credit along to Christian who was one of the first people to help out with beastiemania.com back in 2002-2003. He and I have stayed in contact through the years...and even though he might not be a house hold name...he has never stopped looking for rarities like this. My hat is off to him...

Short of turning up something from the mythical 1989 tour. A radio appearance that I once had a lead on...that never panned out was a 1985 on-air appearance that the Beastie Boys made on Doctor Dre's NYU radio show.

Back in the late 1990s, we used to see new "rare" recordings pop up at least once a month..now it is more like 1 to 2 a year. Stuff like this gives us all hope that other rarities are still out there lurking and waiting to be discovered.

I second that. That is rumored to be the best show in the history of the band...yet no recording of it has ever surfaced. Instead we have 3 different versions of the Long Island set.

I'd have to look...but I think I have an cd-r recording of the Glasgow set which has not been edited. In other words the curse words are not deleted out as they were in the broadcast versions. Is this what you're looking for? I haven't listened to it in ages, but as I recall it is not an audience recording.

I checked and I have that show. I looked at the cd-rs and my notes for the show say that I made the discs on Oct 14 2002 from analog tapes. Check DIME later on....it should be up and running.
