yeah this is a toughie.
i was thinking if this was a relationship that happened because you were just both keeping each other on the back burner for some possible ass then go ahead and have at him.
but keeping in touch for nine years seems a long time to keep something simmering on the back burner. so it's probably more than just a back burner friendship.
