ha, that gif always makes me laugh because I have that sort of punch response to things that scare me too. one time I was sleeping over at my friend ross' house in his room (he was on the couch) and I woke up in the middle of the night feeling a "presence", it was pitch black, but thought I saw a man standing and looking at me, I said, "ross? is that you?" and when I didn't get an answer I jumped up and punched the "man" square in the face. but the "man" was a vcr on top of a tv on top of a tv cart. and it all went a tumblin. oops.
