Okay, thanks for the info. I'm still waiting on my letter but both my wife and I are currently covered under my job and her own individual plan that we pay for out of pocket.
The idea was to keep my group coverage and roll her over into covered california, under the same provider, same doctors, same medical record number, everything...
(if we did nothing we would continue to pay for her current coverage, about $100 more (after subsidy) than we would pay under the new system)
The real emergency for me was getting coverage for the little guy, in the next 12 days, during the holidays, just in time for healthcare reform to kick in.
