Facebook is stalking me

I closed - or at least I THOUGHT I closed - my Facebook account two years ago. But while checking one of my email accounts just now, I received a friend request yesterday. Wtf?!

It's not like I dislike the person asking for the friend invitation, but the fact that I thought my relationship with Facebook was just a memory.

Facebook continues to amaze me and not in a good way.

That hasn't happened to me for awhile, it did and then I went back in and found a more definitive way to close my account. The first time the account just stayed lurking in my life, it just needed a user name and password.
Now it's gone, all one.

I quit Facebook a few years ago, it was a pretty big deal back then that Facebook would "Haunt" you even after leaving. I'm not too sure exactly how my name vanished completely, but my Facebook page was still out there.

At that time it was happening to enough people that the media had stories about the lack of privacy. Facebook came out with a definitive way to quit.

All I can say is google around, you'll find a way to free yourself.
