Unreleased Hello Nasty Era Cuts?
Don't care if they suck. When do we get those unreleased/unfinished tracks? I'm assuming never, but someone has to demand them. Give us something. If you bastards are reading, release it. The boys have a legacy and the fans need something more to buy or at least pirate. If there was ever another Hot Sauce Part(which there prob wasn't), give us summa that too.

Re: Unreleased Hello Nasty Era Cuts?
One of the dope things about that era is you can assume they were fairly active creatively throughout, compared to, say, the hiatus. They hadn't stopped or anything.
I'd be interested in what, if anything, they came up with in 96 while turning up in other hip-hop film clips. If there were some hip hop tracks that reflect a particular flavour that they just didn't pursue for whatever reason once they set a 'direction'. McDuff will know the tech stuff but I assume the echoplex is the vocal effect used on things like 3mcs and the slow n low remix? More of that type of thing would be nice, that real 'big' vocal sound. I started this post halfway into song for junior now it's I don't know. Edit: there is 100% more hot sauce material in my opinion.

However, tape delays like the echoplex are really apparent when they distort and change speed. For example, if you listen to the delays on the word "electrify" at the ends of each verse on the song of the same title, or the decay of the "ravers of the world unite" line in Unite; the crispy delays that speed up and slow down. Thats classic tape delay (echoplex in this case). The holy grail example though is Nonstop Disco Powerpack. It's ALL OVER those verses. All those wild vocal effects you here going on under their vocals (and alotta other psychedelic sounds that dont even sound like traditional delay) are heavy-handed perversions of the plex.
