Default Nothing about the G.I. Joe movie??

I'm a little surprised that there has been no mention of the "leaked" photos.

Storm Shadow is looking pretty badass. The Baroness? Not so much. Although that outfit is shit hot.

I think they nailed Snake Eyes though. What say you?

wow! I didn't even know about this.

Snake Eyes looks awesome. Storm Shadow already pisses me off. He's supposed to be wearing a ninja mask.

Mask and all.

Didn't want to post this one due to the size. I think he has the best costume as compared to everyone else at the moment.

Christopher Eccleston as Destro is the main thing I'm looking forward to in this movie

One of my friends is working on this special effects for this movie in Prague. I'll ask him what he thinks of it.

Who are these people in the cast? I recognize not a single one of them.

Dammit - it looks like it's going to be like Xmen, where they take all the color and character out of their costumes and leave them with retarded black "updated" suits.

Also, I agree with the other posts - where the hell is Stormshadow's mask!? I bought a couple handful of old GI Joe comics when I was a kid at a boyscout garage sale and read them. Great stuff.

Thank goodness for that! I can live with the jacket. Seriously though, if they replace all the costumes with black lycra I might be tempted to totally skip the movie.

some characters are cool already.

Baroness- where's her round glasses? If they don't give her the glasses then they've already fucked her character up.

Storm Shadow- still not impressed, even with the mask. I thought it was some kind of ninja code to not reveal their identity to anyone. And that jacket is pretty lame.

Destro is a big ups so far, can't wait to see his role.

They better have Zartan, the twins, Grunt, Sgt. Slaughter, Leatherneck, Barbeque, Bazooka, Beach Head, Blowtorch, Doc, Duke, Falcon, Footloose, Gung Ho, Hawk, Buzzer, Dr. Mindbender, Serpentor, Firefly, Golobulus, Monkeywrench, Zarana, Zandar.

I just hope they do this right.

Oh yeah, I agree that Baroness isn't herself without the glasses. That's what made her stand out from being yet another woman in a full leather suit. I also agree that they're taking an X-Men approach to costume design but it's taking away what made each character unique. Not one character from the cartoon wore anything similar to another. (Unless you're talking about the Cobra flunkies or maybe the twins.)

At least Storm Shadow isn't decked out in leather. When you're a stealth assassin you can't really sneak up on anyone when your thighs are swooshing together. *rub rub rub* I don't think combat boots would be conducive to running and doing martial arts either but they could have at least done something cool with the shoes. Maybe something like this but not so gaudy...

Hpdrifter, I heard that there will be a moment in the film that the team goes from being a thrown together group of mercs to the G.I. Joe unit that the movie is named after, which somehow calls for a costume change. Maybe your friend knows about this in detail?

Now I know how people who didnt grow up with Transformers or X-Men would look at those films and say "that looks kinda stupid"

I never watched or grew up with GI Joe and this stuff looks retarded. Strip away the nostalgia and they look ridiculous.

Not that im hating or anything.

Response so far (i asked him if he thought it was gonna be good or if it was gonna suck):

"I think it could go either way. It seems like it will be a mix between the Bourne movies and some really American ass action movie shit, I have hopes for it though, at least the visual effects should be good."

I will now inquire about the specific scene in question.

I'd like to see Wildbill, Lady J, Cover Girl, Major Bludd, Mutt, Wild Weasel, The Dreadnaughts, The Pac Rats, Trouble bubble, Claw, The Dragonfly, and the Skystrikers - I'm sure some characters will come in the sequel if this floats

As crazy as this sounds: I like G.I. Joe until they went overboard with characters like Serpentor. Either I was too old by then or it just seemed ridicules. The juries still out on that one

Firefly is a must. And Major Blood would be spot on. Dr. Mindbender and Zartan would be a pleasant surprise.

Bazooka, Grunt and the Medic can all take a pass~I hope they're not in the movie bc the comic never developed those characters. Clutch was a developed character that would have some good lines if it veered anywhere near what the comic was like.

I liked the mysteriousness of Destro always wearing his mask but my curiosity is piqued as to how Dr. Who can pull it off. Christopher Eccleston needs to do some serious muscle toning to make it the Destro that is etched into my mind.

I never cared for Scarlett but with a body and outfit like that she raised more than an eyebrow

Snake Eyes looks True to Form: Cut from Granite. He needs his wolf

I've been waiting for this movie for far too long. I still have all the figures at my parents house in the attic and their File Cards. That is up until the Serpentor series came around
