Death seems to be the best way to increase record sales....

I looked for it in town but never seen it.

a beastie fan is born everyday! also, there are probably people out there that had the album, lost it and forget about it. they noticed they didnt have it anymore and ordered it again. its hands down one of the best albums of all time, IMO!

There are a few factors why there could be an increase in sales.
There are a lot of people who are being exposed to their music right now who might not have been exposed to it earlier. There might be people who have heard of the name beastie boys, but never heard any of their songs until they showed a tribute on the 6 o clock news. There might be casual fans who heard one of the many youtube tributes and decided to buy an album. Most people still remember them for LTI. Maybe people are reading about how awesome Yauch was and wanted to check out some his other stuff. It's nice to see people celebrating Yauch's art.
