I hope they get a nice turn out. A little strange that whoever runs that account wouldn’t make a post about it here but maybe they hate all of you *assholes. I saw their Instagram and they got blahzay blahzay but I doubt PF cuttin will be there. And another not so cryptic post on Instagram says they got muggs showing up as well.

So the same people are doing another one this year. I applaud their efforts greatly but lol it looks so odd to me for what’s meant as an event honoring MCA.

there's the one by the dude who has done "MCA DAY" in the past in brooklyn somewhere. this year it's at the same place as the previous MCA DAYs but there's really been no mention of anything significant at the event, probably just fans getting together which is fine.

8/7 is “MCA/JMJ forever” at Adam Yauch Park and 8/13 is “MCA DAY 10” event at that same Brooklyn location as before- Littlefield bar

I am sure many will go both, but it is also obvious that these started as one fan organized event that shot off into two separate groups based on differing ideas or viewpoints.

One of them feels forced, the other feels fan friendly and organic

I know what I have been told, but I don't know what is happening personally. I have other people's version just like you do. I don't personally have any stake or drama. The group throwing the event apparently hit a glitch that couldn't be resolved, and we are all witnessing the result of that. I run from drama, so I'm not doing anything other than what I have always done... which is let things sort themselves out if I don't have a personal stake.

In some circumstances I wish I had more info, like archiving live shows or updating set lists. In reference to the current brouhaha with this event, I just watch it happen, and don't think the details are useful for me. So there aren't really any more details I have than you.

Mca day looked fun. The jmj thing looked as weird as the lineup.
