Thanks so much -- a brilliant contribution to the BBMB.

"A lot of record companies look at the numbers and they'll be like, 'Your first record sold 5 million and your second record sold only 800,000. What happened? You guys fell off, I think the band all feels that the record did really well. Most musicians I grew up playing music with would probably shoot me if I ever complained about selling 800,000 records."

No problem. I'm gonna re-up all of the links really soon with additions and whatnot. I just picked up some vinyl today that I'm gonna rip tomorrow that was sampled on CHY (Professor Booty).

at first glance there is one im pretty sure i think you are missing is called : " Shoreline Drive " by Sammy Nestico ... for pauls boutique ... ill let u know if i find others but i give u tons of props for doing this !

**** I actually found a link to it on youtube for a quick reference ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtp2UH4T1XM
EDIT :

it's sampled and used on b boy bouillabaisse ... " dropping names "

the lyrics that follow the sample are something like this : If your world was all black and if your world was all white
Then you wouldn't get much color out of life now right

the lyrics that precede the sample are :

He thrusts his fists against the post and still insists he sees a ghost
He thrusts his fists against the post and still insists he sees a ghost
She's slippin through his fingers as she's movin' out to the coast
He thrusts his fists against the post and still insists he sees a ghost

and then the sample is used to transition into the rest of the song starting with If your world was all black and if your world was all white ...
*it's the first part of Shoreline Drive by Sammy Nestico slowed down and looped

Wow, missed this the first time around.

Great work!

I'd also appreciate a re-upload of the Paul's Boutique stuff

Good looking out, but what you're talking about is the bass line from The Crusaders' "The Wells Gone Dry" and drums from Sweet's "Into The Night". It sounds mad-similar though.....

wow ... your totally right ... i googled shoreline drive after i posted and didnt see any mention of it being associated with paul's boutique ... so i started to wonder ... but then when i listened to it after getting your PM yesterday it seemed to fit

I do have that crusaders song in my itunes library ... it says its from southern comfort album !

I think i may of came across shoreline drive on my own ... it was probably listed in an " ultimate samples/breakbeat " list w/o being linked to any particular song

... so when i downloaded it and gave a listen i automatically labeled it as that track from pauls boutique ... thanks for helping me clear that up ... as i said my sample library is a mess and needs organization ... lol

have to admit they sound very very similar. i did know that the sweet drum sample was also used cause i have that in my library ...

.. and I am also downloading your pauls boutique sample pack ( i need to have them all in one place ) !!!! - this is such a killer post.

Also, I see that you may have included a list of tracks ... i cant open it ( maybe cause i have a mac ) ... if it is not too much trouble can you or anyone who reads this maybe cut and paste the list or something when you get a chance ? thanks

you the man

EPMD is sampled/scratched in but not Eric B & Rakim....as far as I know. What part of the track are you talking about?

Some Freddie Prinze goodness...."looking good". It's sampled during Ad Rock's first verse right after the line "...drinking up the Shasta, my voice sounds sweet cause it has to..."

I haven't re-upped the Check Your Head samples but there are quite a few other additions that I've made to it.
