Default Mike and Bhagavan Das

I remember hearing about this a while back. Has anyone bought it? You can hear bits of it on the link below.

Mike collaborated with his spritual guru back in 2003. This is what Rolling Stone said, "Beastie Boy Mike D’s yoga guru makes some funky chants. Others have mixed chillout and Indian Music but Now goes deeper than most…. It’s a serene spiritual album that also manages to belong to this time and space. "

Here's the link

Its worth getting and listenable. It may get you into Bhagavans music as well. Dont expect typical Beastie Boys material.

The copy I won on ebay finally arrived today. It's pretty wacked out stuff. Interesting is a good word to use. Pretty relaxing chant-type music.

There are some interesting tidbits I learned in the liner notes.

All tracks were written by Bhagavan Das and Mike D except one. $Mark and Walter Miranda performed on several tracks. The Latch Brothers get a writing credit on one track.

It also said one track was mixed at G-Son Studios...and a few others were mixed at Club D.
