Thanks much to all involved in providing these a cappellas! Of course I'd like to see many more made available, but what we've been given is more than I could have ever hoped. I'm truly grateful for these gifts.

The Beastie Boys should release a new song in acapella form only. We remix, they pick the best one and put it on their album. Sounds cool, huh?

I TOO HAVE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA FOR BEASTIES TO HAVE A FAN/AMATUER PRODUCE A SONG FOR THEM....IT WOULD BE A HECTIC PROCESS....ONLY THE BEASTIES BOYS WOULD BE ABLE TO PULL THAT OFF...

A)THEIR MUSIC IS NOT BEING CONTROLLED BY SOME RECORD COMPANY STOOGES....

B) THEY ARE NOT SO CAUGHT UP IN THEMSELVES THAT AN IDEA LIKE THIS WOULD ELUDE THEM.....

C) THEY HAVE BRIDGED THE GAP BETWEEN THE FAN AND THE ARTIST IN OTHER WAYS ALREADY......ACCAPELLAS FOR EXAMPLE....

D) IT WOULD BE GOOD PUBLICITY ANYWAY AND THEY ARE NOT STUPID.

Thumbs up Re: A Cappellas

Thank you so much for the acapellas. I have been making music for about four years with my friends (Mostly via Fruity Loops), and we really haven't had many avenues through which to let our music be heard. It's like you post up at your spot, chill with your people, burn and flow, and that's pretty much it. So it's great to have flows to put over them that extract some of the better qualities of both sets of artists. I invite you and all who read this to check out my myspace page and hear some of what I've done. I left one track up that my friends and I did at his place one afternoon (as I said, we are just getting to a point of having decent recording quality, but the beats have been there for a little while now). Thanks for your time. -myles bacon
