Re: new book push Strombo
My thoughts are that they are being more genuine than what they are used to in interviews. The jokey moments are still there, to be sure. My take was that they are a couple of dudes who, when trying to put things into perspective, feel like they did it as well as they could in the book. I believe truly that they don't even understand why people connected on so many levels for such a long time. They're grateful, and humble, and honest.

i also feel like they really don't get why people love them so much or why they've been so profoundly important to so many people. there were two or three moments in this interview where i felt that way |

Re: new book push Strombo
I think they’re totally aware of what they’ve offered and why people like it. They’ve never struck me as the sort to sit and around and think about how great they are or dissect their longevity and popularity, though, and I think they’re genuinely humbled by their success.

Re: new book push Strombo
they genuinely come off as lucky and grateful. which is refreshing. we obv look at their back catalog and look at them as gods. i don’t think they’ll ever get that. yauch had a suspicion i think.

Strombo described something about being in school and how there were Beastie Boys kids - something like that - which rang really true for me. I remember that. I was surprised they seemed completely unaware of phenomenon, but it makes sense since they were busy being it to know about that going on at the same time. couple things like that Quote:

Does anyone know what interview this pic is from? The caption says they were at Sirius on September 13 but I can’t find the interview |
