Not to be harsh, because he called this way in advance..

Appropriately enough for a book that was written in part as a tribute to how the Beasties made each other laugh, the group had wound up with enough material for a second book, all consisting of in-jokes. Horovitz claims this is called “Funny to Us” and it recounts nothing but the weird moments on the road that would never make sense to anybody who wasn’t part of the group. Diamond asserts “there’s literally 150 pages” for this potential sequel.

But I figure its not good for anything other than saying "hey, look what CJ knew before the rest of us". Not hating, just saying.

meh. you'd think we'd all share new info with each other at this point, but whatevs. it is what it is. if dude still wants his "status points" he can have them. in the era of social media and never ending news cycles we're all going to find out sooner than later. i've dealt with crazier and cryptic star wars fans in my life. ha....i'll be in chicago for SW Celebration next week. lord knows why i agreed to this but hey, 2 things make me happy (3 if you count the cassettes bigfatlove is helping me repopulate), but that's SW and the Bboys. SW fandom is as crazy and cryptic as Mic says, much more so than anything ever beastie related. and they are toxic which adds a whole other level to their crazy. i'm in the lottery though to hopefully get on at least one panel convo, which won't happen, but i'll still revel in the psychosis that is SWC nonetheless.

my mike zeroh comparison to hood was still unfair, and his breadcrumbs make me laugh so...

thank you adam adam & mike

...no way. i don't hate that name but i kinda like Skywalkers to be honest with you. i know it doesn't really fit, and maybe it doesn't work withing the narrative of TLJ given there are not many Skywalker's left, or so we think, but it somehow feels applicable given the last chapter in the so-called saga.

Ok, I get it. May is capitalized in an earlier post. Summer in another. You're not so subtle that people fail to notice, only you suck balls at providing any concrete info. So if your aim is to tease everyone then I can't fault you in the least. You do that exceedingly well. If your aim is anything other than that, then you're failing miserably. I like you lots. Had many good conversations with you over the years. Nonetheless, I am tired of trying to make any sense of your cryptic posts like Nicholas Cage in National Treasure.

Show was dope. I don't want to ruin any surprises but all in all it seemed more polished. Mike and Adam we're very sincere and hillarious. No book signings or museum. Met Cey Adams. Great time.

It was similar, but more refined and polished. They changed up a few things, added things and had a bigger screen in the background. More unseen pictures and footage I hadn’t seen. It was awesome.

Didn't go to the first round so I'm not in a perfect position to answer but from what I saw on YouTube it was the same idea with a slightly different format. They stood the entire show (no sit down coffee table stuff like I saw from the LA show). No Mix Master Mike. There were some pretty crazy surprises if you're a Beastie Boys nerd that were pretty epic.

There is hardly any photos of adam or mike at this active time, even snapshots of them going to and from shows!

That's cuz they have no phone policy at these shows...you have to lock them up in a pouch as you enter which you keep with you put it stays in the pouch.

Not a bad idea cause in true Beastie fashion they started the Philly show an hour late. Nobody knew what time it was.

Went to Tuesday night show. Crowd was dead. I don’t know how the crowd was for Monday’s show or how tomorrow’s crowd will be by this crowd had no energy. Mike and Adam were visible disappointed a times at the lack of response a few times. When they talked about rhymin and stealing mike was looking to get an Ali baba chant and shrugged at Adam about the crowds low energy. I also think Adam expected a little more crowd when he was reciting hold it now

But the show was dope.

Funny, Philly was the opposite, probably too much energy. Crowd was pretty sauced, people yelling out, interrupting at times, etc.

philly ALWAYS gets live crowds for the band I’m noticing. While nyc always seems to be on the lackluster side.

I can tell you from experience at nyc shows I’ve seen yauch make a WTF face at the crowd for not being live, can’t remember what song it was. I’ve seen Horovitz call out a fan for sitting down in the middle of the show. I always thought the AIFST concert crowd was tame except for the intro to brass monkey, which the band screwed up and had to restart and didn’t get the same energy again lol.

Also, the paranoia in me thinks making the fans not have access to their fans can be dangerous if shit pops off

That may be why they opted to add a Philly show to the current run. I tried to get them to come back to the roller rink down in Virginia but they said "hell no!"

Try not to be paranoid Cheese. It's extremely rare for something dangerous to happen at a live event. It just makes its way to the front of our minds because the media goes so hard with it. It's sensational, it gets big ratings (which sells more ads = more money for the network, of course it's all because of a lust for money), people can't get enough of the coverage. But the reality is, millions of events go on every year with nothing happening. It's just a couple things a year that happen. So the likelihood is extremely low, almost impossible, that it will happen somewhere you are. The few that do occur create hysteria. Just remind yourself of that. The most dangerous situation is in fact, driving. A million people die in cars every year. That is the situation where we should be most worried. But I'm never worried when I'm driving. I got my music on, listening to podcasts, chilling. You just have to keep things in perspective. It is hard to these days, unless you just turn off the tv and the internet. They're hysterical.
