I could be mistaken but I think that's the only era that doesn't have any.
I was JUST thinking of this yesterday. As far as I know there have never been any official 7" records from the CYH era.

Ill Communication seems to have been the goldmine of 7" releases. They came out in all kinds of colors, limited editions, bonus tracks, etc. The "For Jukeboxes Only" promo 7"s off that album are great because they comes in so many colors, then there's the Sure Shot burgundy release and Get It Together green release. And they all had such great tracks. The Get It Together jukebox promo is one of my favorite singles for no other reason than that it has Futterman's Rule as the b-side. That's one of my favorite songs or all time, and it's dope to be able to just drop the needle on that track solo and have a listen.

Sorry.... bit of a rant there.....

Exact same thoughts here! Love Futterman's Rule. Also, love the Root Down / Ricky's theme 45.
Both are two of my favs.

Yeah. And on top of that, the vinyl singles off the album weren't very good. Just instrumentals, a capellas, and some pretty bland remixes. I would have loved to have seen some sort of maxi single of some track like Rhyme The Rhyme Well with bonus tracks of Brr Stick Em and thr other non-album cuts.

Agreed, but that being said I really liked the Triple Trouble remixes, I think even better than the original, but that's only because I was so disappointed that they used an obvious Sugar Hill Gang sample for the original. That has always been my main beef with Triple Trouble (not crazy about the hook either).

I also really liked the Just Blaze Remix of Ch-Check It out and the And then I b-side. In fact, I really enjoyed all the b-sides from TT5B. Now I'm going off on a tangent. I guess I didn't really have that many problems with singles from TT5B singles, just that I wanted more, especially after such a long hiatus.

Nothing can beat the extra goodies that came with singles from CYH and IC era though. I listen to those singles as much as the albums.

All of the SOB vinyl releases are posted for auction. If Ill Communication is your era, and you want something in particular, I'd like you to have it. If I can't sell it, I will help you find it.

I agree with everything said here. I like the b-sides from TT5B better than at least 4 songs off of the album.

Somehow have never listened to the Triple Trouble remixes (or I have and I just forgot) but this Graham Coxom remix is pretty insane!
