I am speechless. Reading the responses here and then seeing facebook and twitter just blow up. I had some fans who don't post here tell me to mention that they are also doing what they can to help. Sarah I told you about Beth.

Yauch you are truly loved and missed by many. Get well soon!

^^^^ Thats awesome Frank! Good work. Its awesome how much support MCA has in this country, world etc.....
I made my tweet @djskrilla: GET WELL SOON MCA!! #PWR2MCA @BeastieBoys @Ms_Pac_Man_723 @M1XMASTERM1KE @Copeland_Ent http://pic.twitter.com/EJCosF6D
...and as far as for the cause I am donating time (and my GF too) at the local animal shelter in my town (its a no kill shelter)... also I have some old Grand Royal mags I was going to list on ebay and when listing them, you can donate a 10%-100% percent of the final price to a nonprofit of my choice! So who should I choose? I will post the final value when finished.

...finally, last night I zipped up all my beastie pictures, logos, magazines and uploaded them so everyone can share. These pictures are from years of saving on the web etc. (I have been a member since alt.music.beastieboys)... enjoy http://bit.ly/HJMUwn

I don't think you do CJ. It's just open to whoever wants to donate now/and or just show support online. I guess Sarah will explain more when she comes back.

Frank, awesome!

DJ_Skrilla love what you did on the Pwr2Mca!!!

CJ; you don't need proof. It's an HONOUR system; old skool!

I am not representing an official foundation so I didn't think it was ethical for me to demand receipts from people; especially when these receipts might reveal personal information (real names, credit card info, PayPal user ID, etc).

There’s no way I can tell if people are screwing with us. All I can do is hope that the karma police are on our side.

So far, people have been so heartfelt in their desire to help that it’s hard for me to believe they’re not genuinely donating……

…….especially when you consider that almost everyone has shared their full name and contact details with me on my private email (even though I didn’t ask for it). We have also been contacted by the Pablove Foundation, who thanked us for our support and offered help with the project. A number of people have donated to them. It’s truly amazing.

I am very touched by everyone’s involvement. I hope Yauch will be, too!

xoxo

Federica in Paris is supporting a plastic collect-recycle campaign with the children she works with.

The campaign is called "Les petits bouchons"

They collect plastic bottles caps for recycling and the money benefit goes to help children living with an handicap, like buying wheelchairs. It also brings children's attention on the environment issues and the importance of recycling.

THANKYOU, Federica!

Hey MsPacman, first off, great idea! More power to you! My wife and I donate a few hunded dollars in our family members names to St. Judes every Christmas. It is better than buying gifts and gives children with cancer a chance to have a chemo party or other things. I do not Twitter so how do I go about the picture thing? I think I read something about Facebook?

Our latest supporter is the wonderful hannahorovitz.

If you don't already read her blog, please check her out.
http://hannahorovitz.tumblr.com/

She made a donation to Save the Sensory Camp in support of PWR2MCA; and also came up with THIS idea:

...........for her birthday next month; she has asked her loved ones to make a donation to one of Yauch's favourite charities (rather than giving her a gift). That's a truly beautiful gesture. I am SO touched by that.

http://pic.twitter.com/H5AGqgJE

How brilliant is SHE?

THANKYOU!!!!

THANKS, mate!

Just woke up in Sydney. I apologise for being absent.

I will need some time to process this, the same as you all.

Now is not the time to discuss it; but we will have to think about what we're going to do with what we have collected so far for PWR2MCA.

Of course it is not something I would decide by myself.

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Let's STAND TOGETHER during this.

We could send a copy of the messages to Yauch's family as well as Mike and Adam? I think that would be nice and touching for them to read. I can't believe we are having this conversation.

We will do what everyone thinks is right. We don't have to think about it today.

............the only thing we can do in this moment is to figure out how to get through this first day.

I don't know if anyone is ready to discuss this; but we need to decide what to do with all the PWR2MCA material that's been sent to me.

If you're not ready to talk about it then I totally respect that.

I'm posting this now because have just received an incredibly moving email from a TWELVE-YEAR-OLD FAN who was part of the project.

“I just feel changed. Out of all of the things that have happened to me in my life I really feel this is a turning point. I have a new way to look at the world. I will live life the way Yauch would want me to.”

This brilliant young woman is strongly urging me to post everything we did for PWR2MCA to Mike and Adam, to show our support to them.

She wants to know if I think that's a stupid idea.

I don't think it's a stupid idea.

I think she's RIGHT.

And I would like to thank her for knocking some sense into me. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking the time to cry over Yauch, but I don’t feel as though I am doing anything for him by wallowing in grief. I don’t think that’s how he would behave. He was always a man of action.

If we can do something to show our support for Adam and Mike, then we should DO it. They are JUST as important to us as he was.

Of course our messages were directed at Yauch but I don't think this matters............

................what do YOU all think?

Your input is very important to me.

This is an impossible situation and I want to do what's best for everybody.

It has now been 16 hours since I heard the news and I've been sitting at the computer this whole time. It’s midnight in Sydney now. I think I'm gonna take a break and close my eyes and think about it for seven hours or so.

I’ll be in touch in the morning. Please feel free to think about it or discuss it while I’m gone.

I don't think I'll sleep...............

No sleep til Brooklyn.
