malibu ken is a good record. hard to go wrong with ace but his flow is awfully complimentary to the lofi bleeps and bloops.

thank you adam adam & mike

a few more observations...

lil's, youngs, kid's, and $'s vocabulary skills leave something to be desired but this is not surprising, if they bite names i can't imagine they are creative forces to be reckoned with.

the new generation leaves even more to be desired.

people in general are just dumber.

most 2010+ artists are more disco than hip hop.

there are way too many omissions.

i'm old and that is ok.

thank you adam adam & mike

hey u kids get off my lawn! nothing more boring than a old man complaining about new music bro. be a good uncle and support the youth. hip hop has been good to us. let these new kids live.

yea yeah i try...i really have. i just don't think it's going both ways but i acknowledge there is a valid argument on both points. but mic you gotta be with me when i say a lil pump for example is just bad bad people that has done little to push what hip hop means to us.

thank you adam adam & mike

i get it. i can see why some dispair on the current state of hip hop now. especially for old heads like us that have spent most of their lives being loyal to hip hop and are protective of it. i get it. but i look at like this, for every lil peep there’s a earl sweatshirt. for every migos there’s a run the jewels. there’s still a balance for me. you just got to look for it. when i was younger i wasn’t bumping nelly when he was popping. i was still listening to del, wu tang and company flow. same can be said for today. there’s a lot of quality current rap acts that are unbelievable right now. maybe not pop shit but whoever cared about pop shit? definitely not beastie boys fans am i right?

yea you are. totally right. i never bumped a hammer or positive k or tone loc or K9 Posse or sir mix a lot or nelly or wreckx n effect, or a 100 others who were quote unquote more pop, even if they had some nice cuts and many did, just didn't do it.

and yes if you dig today you can find the cool kids, RTJ, Del + amp live, malibu ken, hprizm, apathy, homeboy sandman & edan, bobby sessions, oddisee, aceyalone, etc.. just wish you didn't have to dig so hard to find them though...

maybe that's the rub, what they call hip hop that's all pop. ehh to each their own but good point on the pop shit i liked but wouldn't listen too.

thank you adam adam & mike
