Hey so I'd erroneously ran with the story that A-Trak was offsider on these gigs, however it's Jason Steingold, about whom I know nothing.

It must be nice for Mike to once again be blending his love of music with travel. I can't help but hope he is still making music, though.

His DJ set was the best selection of music I have ever heard at a club. I guess I should not be surprised Mike D has impeccable taste -- it was great to hear him rap again as well

"A lot of record companies look at the numbers and they'll be like, 'Your first record sold 5 million and your second record sold only 800,000. What happened? You guys fell off, I think the band all feels that the record did really well. Most musicians I grew up playing music with would probably shoot me if I ever complained about selling 800,000 records."

I got to see him at Northside, and I must say that a festival like this is not super for a DJ set like his.
I enjoyed it, but it was a strange act for people who thought the saw an old star doing his own new thing, and not just him doing a DJ set where he did a few Beastie songs.

I knew what I was going in to, but would have enjoyed a DJ set at a small club much more than at a festival, where the people in the pit just waited for Björk to show up.
