So true for me too. Shadrach is like a breath of fresh air every time I listen to it. And the video is something else. I enjoy and value the sentiments expressed in LeRoy's book too.

This was pretty good overall but kicked into overdrive for B-Boy Bouillabaisse. Nice.

I'm sure it's on a single I missed during this era? But is there a release of Sharach live from the video?

Shame they didn't get to keep them singing the chorus to Just A Friend in the intro to that.

Nope, Shadrach live was not on wax/cd/tape. It's only on the videos they put out (the "Skills to Pay the Bills" VHS/Laserdisc had two versions of Shadrach live, one that was just video feed (the "mosh" version) and the other with the cartoon overlay (the "abstract impressionist" version). If I remember right, he Critereon DVD that came out much later just has the "abstract impressionist" version of the video.

"Shadrach live" was on the Paul's Boutique 7" set, but that was a bootleg.

The live b/w video IS on the Criterion disc. Select "alternate angle." You can even watch the two versions overlaid on top of each other
