Not a bad idea cause in true Beastie fashion they started the Philly show an hour late. Nobody knew what time it was.

Went to Tuesday night show. Crowd was dead. I don’t know how the crowd was for Monday’s show or how tomorrow’s crowd will be by this crowd had no energy. Mike and Adam were visible disappointed a times at the lack of response a few times. When they talked about rhymin and stealing mike was looking to get an Ali baba chant and shrugged at Adam about the crowds low energy. I also think Adam expected a little more crowd when he was reciting hold it now

But the show was dope.

Funny, Philly was the opposite, probably too much energy. Crowd was pretty sauced, people yelling out, interrupting at times, etc.

philly ALWAYS gets live crowds for the band I’m noticing. While nyc always seems to be on the lackluster side.

I can tell you from experience at nyc shows I’ve seen yauch make a WTF face at the crowd for not being live, can’t remember what song it was. I’ve seen Horovitz call out a fan for sitting down in the middle of the show. I always thought the AIFST concert crowd was tame except for the intro to brass monkey, which the band screwed up and had to restart and didn’t get the same energy again lol.

Also, the paranoia in me thinks making the fans not have access to their fans can be dangerous if shit pops off

That may be why they opted to add a Philly show to the current run. I tried to get them to come back to the roller rink down in Virginia but they said "hell no!"

Try not to be paranoid Cheese. It's extremely rare for something dangerous to happen at a live event. It just makes its way to the front of our minds because the media goes so hard with it. It's sensational, it gets big ratings (which sells more ads = more money for the network, of course it's all because of a lust for money), people can't get enough of the coverage. But the reality is, millions of events go on every year with nothing happening. It's just a couple things a year that happen. So the likelihood is extremely low, almost impossible, that it will happen somewhere you are. The few that do occur create hysteria. Just remind yourself of that. The most dangerous situation is in fact, driving. A million people die in cars every year. That is the situation where we should be most worried. But I'm never worried when I'm driving. I got my music on, listening to podcasts, chilling. You just have to keep things in perspective. It is hard to these days, unless you just turn off the tv and the internet. They're hysterical.
