Obviously pretty subjective, but one of the most resonant has always been from 'Do It'. Every wall that I face is of my own design. I try to apply this understanding daily, and have done since I first heard it.

I don't see things quite the same as I used to
As I live my life I've got just me to be true to
And when I find that I don't know about
Just what to do
I turn and look within to see what I should do
Now I'm not sure what it takes to be hip
A lot of people making music that to me ain't shit
So I ask creation
For rhymes for this jam
Gimme lickle solo and I'll take the mic stand

deluded as the next guy
pretending and hoping to find
that distant peace of mind;
there is no other worthy quest
so on I go

Things I know now years ago I couldn't touch;
for when i trust myself, I fear no one else

My favorite:

If you can feel what I'm feeling then its a musical masterpiece
If you can hear what I'm dealing with then that's cool at least
what's runnin' through my mind comes through in my walk
True feeling are shown from the way that I talk

So dope.

There's so many more profound MCA rhymes, but this one totally hit me off HSC2. I couldn't help but chuckle every single time it was dropped. From 'Crazy Ass Shit' --

Quote:

Someone mentioned Yauch's lyrics in "Putting Shame In Your Game," which I also love, and took my user name from. One of Yauch's gems that always cracks me up, is his speech midway through "The Maestro":

"Aw yeah, I need a little bit of cooperation right about now. I'd like to find out whose favorite detective it is:

Is it Mannix?

Barnaby Jones?

Somebody say Colombo!

McMillan?

Is it Cannon?

Barnaby Jones...

...I said that already."

LMAO

...one might say that the Beastie Boy "Fight for Your Right to Party" guy is a hypocrite. Well, maybe; but in this fucked up world all you can hope for is change, and I'd rather be a hypocrite to you than a zombie forever.

A dope one would be, find a cool picture of the three of them, where MCA is out in front rhyming, and underneath it put the words:

Me and Adam and D were born to emcee

That says it all.
