Nah the 1000 thing was to get a spot on GEA's sure shots page. I'm pretty sure everybody has been allowed to post here since the start.

And the posts, well thats called purging. They do it to make space on the server or something.

I think black-and-white makes you look classier... sorta.

Next time wear a fedora and you can be in a film noir.

P.S. - Did you get a good mark in that paper?

95.

I dominated the paper with my hefty pile of evidence showing the Malsese Falcon was the beginning of film noir in America, as well as a couple other points I cant remember......but yeah my prof liked that paper and gave me props for doing some great research.

I actually didn't think of it till now, but the next time my buddy takes a photo of me, I'll borrow her fedora and maybe do my impression of Bogart. Ha.

film noir is not simply black and white. it's a shame that the genre has been reduced to being thought of as such.

Pauli, he was making a crack about the paper I had to write, which was about film noir. DS knows about the film noir.

none of that was visible in the quote nor in the picture. in such a situation, perhaps a PM would have been in order.

Pauli,

I, of all people, know this. I've seen countless American film noir movies (and a fair share of French film noir, too) to know the ins and outs of noir. There's more to noir than B&W, but film noir has never made B&W look more awesome.

I'm the wrong target, honey.

and im not your "honey". do not insult me in such a manner.

here's a fun fact:

there were barriers over a hole in the wall there that morning, and we figured that they were just fixing an area of it. we had forgotten that we didn't see them there the night before when we visited it for a few minutes. turned out that that night, at about 3 a.m., a guy was probably going too fast in the tunnel and lost control of his car. he went over a dividing curb thingy in the parking lot and straight over the wall, down who knows how many feet toward the valley floor. i guess they picked him and his car up out of there sometime in the morning...and we found out later on that night, after this picture. and there we were smiling, not knowing a dude had died there.
