BTW is anybody reading Aura Walker's fb posts? She's sharing a lot of great things about Adam. I think I go to her stories now to help me cope with this. :/

Yes!! I read that story under the pic of her and Adam in 94. Seems like she was maybe his first buddhist girlfriend and a big influence on him spiritually. (And he hated when she wore make up!) (He would not have liked me. )

Yeah her stories really are sweet.

Rapper Nas commented: "One of my greatest moments in music was when I worked with the Beastie Boys... Now today I'm hearing our brother is gone. I prayed this would not happen... MCA was so cool, man. We had great talks about what it was like for them in the beginning, getting into the rap game. I'll never forget that experience for the rest of my life. MCA is true legend who influenced me. God bless his soul and his loved ones".

On their blog, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs wrote: "MCA. You lived so many lives in your time here. Equal parts Musician, activist, philanthropist, director, producer, and father. You taught us how to be cool while getting older, and showed us how to be caring and how to laugh through the same medium. Who else could be friends with the Dalai Lama and also produce the Bad Brains?"

Meanwhile, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day took to Twitter to remember his friendship with Yauch, writing:

I know when I read that he didn't like when she wore makeup, it made me realize even more how special he is. He's not like other rock stars, obviously but it proves how down to earth he is. I really hope I find someone like him, his wife is a lucky women. (and my heart still and always will go out for dechen and losey)

I feel bad knowing all of this. It's kinda personal, but it really gives us another perspective of him as a person. Aura made it happen so that he'd meet Dechen though.. I find that cool that she got him on that path and he found somebody else that he was just as passionate about. He really loved Aura. Damn!

And knowing now those old jackets he wore were Aura's. So cute. It's like some Yauch trivia we are getting from her!

What old jackets? Where does she mention that? I only read the comments under her photograph of him and her on her wall. I see someone has had a go at her for presuming she was the catalyst in turning his life path onto buddhism.

She was commenting on our timeline in response to photos that fans were posting of Adam. On the Yauch fb timeline. It's all still there, you just have to scroll down.

She also left a message about this photo. The ring on his finger is hers.
