It says it is a special commemorative cover. I wonder how hard that is going to be to find.

Or is the issue going to have a double cover?

Not sure if anyone else has seen this or if it has already been posted but I think it's worth posting again- Kathleen Hanna writes what she calls her "first Installment of her words on Adam Yauch" it's a beautiful read so far. Looking forward to more. She also has some pics that I haven't seen before.
Enjoy

Just so's you know Angela, that's a fan blog. It's not written by Kathleen. Her personal blog is here: http://www.kathleenhanna.com/category/blog/

Thank you for telling me that. I read the one you referenced as hers and when I stumbled on this one, I thought- this girl is crazy! Why does she keep referring to herself in the 3rd person

I think if I hadn't been so late and I had not been sooo tired, I may have realized. I hope

The tribute edition will be out in July. I know where to get it. It's easy to buy. I'll link it here when it's available.

Oh and just wanted to add this from Carl Denson. He is doing another tribute show this saturday to honor Adam and the boys.

Super props to Adam (MCA) Yauch. In light of our recent tribute and the attention to detail that requires, I've grown even fonder of The Beastie Boys and MCA's work and genius. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and fans. RIP. - Karl Denson

If I am lucky enough to find it, I will buy a few copies and you'll be first on my list

Lot of stuff in magazine...

*There's a 3 pages article about Yauch in the last Q mag.

*A double page portait (pic) in the new Wax Poetics. I think they will make something more important later, not sure.

*In France, the Tsugi mag made a special article with all their best art covers, just pics, no text.

Last bu not least, The Roots begin their show on stage with a cover of "Paul revere" Lyrics with "she's crafty" instrumental.

I was hoping to collect my copies today, but they'd put aside the issue from the week before... and I've got that already. But luckily it wasn't sold out so they could put them back on the shelf. And they get the Wax Poetics to that store as well, so there's a plenty for me to come!

yes, aren't they!?
Really weird, about half way down the page the name under "ANOTHERDRIVEALLNIGHT" is my friend's name. He's a designer and massive BB fan. I have to check if it's his!

My fave is "it's called gratitude".

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it! I was thinking of adding some kind of drum track to it, not sure though. It definitely hit me hard when MCA died. Still can't believe it, and I was more sad than I thought I'd be since I didn't know him, but I really liked the guys for awhile, it sucks. I'd love to hear other mca/bboys tributes too.

Oh no! I love it just the way it is. I think it's perfect.

Cool, thanks a lot. It's cool getting plays on there, but I'm not ever sure if people are into it or just check it out then move on lol.

Is it July or August WP? Can you tell me who's on the cover? Is the pic just Adam? I can't wait to see it, hope I can find one

It's #51, with Nas on the cover. Yauch's picture is an old one, LTI era. He's not alone on it, but the others (Adrock and... hurricane, maybe) are "unfocused".
