Boxing Day rocks in my book. It's the day for drinking and fun with your friends after the "family" day on Christmas Day. Being Scottish and getting January 2nd off to nurse hangovers is good too.

Anyways, Boxing Day is just an excuse to have an after-Christmas special for the shopping malls. It's not a real holiday, though it may have started off that way (and it's only celebrated in the Commonwealth).

we basically have boxing day, we just also have other real holidays of importance (MLK Day) so its deemed unnecessary to clutter our calendar with such crap.
