I go by the name of Steve-Onpoint. I'm from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the U.S.A.

I've been working on a lot of new material for my solo project and some other special goodies. But I can't let the cat out of the bag just yet.

It's probably about time I post a new remix on here.

I wish we were still at camp, goofin' off and listening to Zappa.

I guess it's about time I fill out one of these things.

Been throwin up trax here for a while hoping people like em.

Age: 11/28/72

born: Montreal

live: Vancouver, BC

History--- Got into hip hop around 85/86 (grade 7) when a friend played me a cassette taped off of WBLS from NY with Doug E Fresh and Slick Rick's The Show/La Di Da Di and loved it. Loved Licensed to Ill and DMC and all that and got my hands on everything I could.

Methodology --- I get creative spurts where I crank out a bunch of remixes in a few week period and then take a break for a few months.. I've got about 45 to 50 on my site Innuendo Industries

Recommendations-- In terms of my remixes you'll have to explore my site.. I do however recommend a couple of Hold it Now mashes: Hold it Now - Canadian Werewolf Mix
and a Cypress Hill style mashup I did for Hold it Now

In the meantime, check my newest mix and looking forward to seeing AIFST!

Shout out to all the talented mixers out there, in no particular order: Joak, Team9, DJ BC, Lando, DJBC, ZAP, Chromium, Spacemac, Skrilla, Laurie Hammy, Phos, Incognito. All Y'all need to get signed!

I don't remix, haven't a clue how to, but would love to be able to. I'm 33 and skint so I guess it ain't ever gonna happen now

I'm posting here to say I love this thread, really enjoying listening to all the remixes and asking that you all keep up the good work

What's up. I go by M.Fusion and I work with several artists in the underground scene in Los Angeles. The Beasties have always been one of my top favorites since License. I think it's incredibly cool that they allow fans to remix their stuff and share them on this site...

I did this one last weekend... "looking down the barrel of a gun".

Hi, I'm pauledwdz - I'm not usually a remixer, but for the Beastie Boys, I'm prepared to make an exception.

I'm fortunate enough to have some friends who are planning to change the face of comedy animation and I've been helping them with some tunes and sound editing etc.

You can find some of our stuff at the official website, BUGGED! or on myspace.

Anyway, you'll find my remix here: http://www.e-coustics.co.uk/intergalactic.mp3

I've kept it simple.

Cheers, pauledwdz.

Hello all!

I'm Jim aka (Archangel), and I'm in London, UK. Been making music for a few years now, but not professionally. I love working with the beasties vox because they are so creative in the rhyme structure. Very clever stuff.

Anyway, I've just finished remixing Ch-check it out, and you can hear it on my myspace. Click the link in my sig to visit. I hope you do because you won't regret it. It's a seriously funky, slap bassed, breakbeat number with some epic sounding keys, and even horns!

I look forward to meeting you lot and getting feedback.

Post Re: So.. who are you remixers anyway?

My name is Ben, I'm 25 years old and I have been a Beastie enthusiast maybe forever (wait... I discovered Public Enemy First... ).
I started to make music with an old 4-track tracker on my Amiga computer around the year 1996. It was the so very naive times of me sampling hardcore techno and gabber tunes to rearrange them. Nowadays I use mostly Propellerheads Reason to create what I like to call music, but I plan on switching this summer to Renoise, a state-of-the-art modern tracker with VST capabilities.
I also mix drum & bass (65 mb .mp3 mixtape) & techno in a collective.

My current serious occupation is being a student in a multimedia school in switzerland. We learn stuff like graphic design, website design, video and all that.

My best remix is The Move (Chill Output Remix).

Next!

meh?

Hi, my name is Jan-Willem and I live in Utrecht, the Netherlands. I've been mixing since last week, due to a article in the newspaper that mentioned the acapella downloads of the beastie boys. Check out my first mix here and tell me what you think of it.

Sup everybody. I'm Damian AKA Dasubot. I compose/arrange and whatever else I gotta do to make shit happen. I do try to program all my own music (like someone else said... from scratch)
Being 31, I've been a Beastie fan since day one.
Despite my love of Hip Hop culture, I started out playing bass in a punk band at about 15 or so and never stopped, so unlike a lot of clickmaster flexes out there I do play a real instrument. No disrespect of course: I sequence and master on a computer as well. I normally write new melodies on the bass or guitar and then translate them into notes on my sequencer.
That outta suffice. One.

Name's John... been into music production since back when the Roland Juno was hawt. 35 years old, graphic designer out of Larchmont, NY (30 minutes to NYC).

Use Logic Pro 7, lotsa plug-ins. I'm a drummer, percussionist and keyboard player. Lived in Africa for 10 years, parents worked for UNICEF... played with a few bands while in Rwanda (before it went to hell... peace to freinds that didn't make it). Learned a lot about syncopation and what makes a groove "groove".

Into D&B, reggae... wish new hip hop would disappear. Took a challenge from a freind, and mimicked a popular rap tune in 3 hours. Where'd the talent and ingenuity go? It's not hip hop anymore... it's hip POP. Meh.

Anyway, been remixing a bunch of the Beastie acapellas, but only got one in MP3 format, which I actually did a few years ago. Bass is a little heavy, but I only have earphones right now, the apartment I own isn't condusive to playing monitor speakers loudly. That's what my car is for... 4 10"s with 1k watts, 300 watts bi-amped to each side up front. makes your arm hair move. Nothin' sounds quite like an 8...0...8.

http://www.johnreidigitaldesign.com/...live_remix.mp3

Will get more up when time allows... too many real world bill-paying work going on right now...

WHAT'S GOOD BEASTIE FANS?? HERE'S A SNIPPET ON WHO I AM AND WHAT I'M UP TO. I'M WORKING ON A BEASTIE'S REMIX MIXTAPE THAT'S ALREADY HOT AS HELL AND IT'S ONLY HALF DONE!!! IF YOU WANT TO READ A WRITE UP ABOUT ME VISIT: THEINDUSTRYMAG.COM AND GO UNDER "SPOTLIGHT." I'M RIGHT THERE.. I'M CURRENTLY COOKING UP TRACKS WITH MAD PEOPLE...

About abs
A.B.S. is an independent rapper/producer based out of downtown San Francisco, California where he also owns and operates Skullneck Sounds and Video.
Following his "One Breath" (2004) album, his new album "One More Breath" was released on July 10th, 2006 and can be previewed on his official site ABSmusic.net

A.B.S. can be an acronym for many things, but it depends on who you ask. On the album you can listen to Wanda Sykes and Jamie Kennedy who both run with their own translation of the name.

Stand out tracks on the 20 track album include "Myself" where he raps about executing his plan by himself while also giving an insight on who he is, "Face Value" on which he is joined by Adiggz and Gotte (both reppin Buffalo, N.Y.) who turns up on the hook as they join A.B.S. in explaining the value of a dollar, and not to forget the album version of "Young, Fabulous & Broke" which you might have heard a snippet from CNBC's "Suze Orman Show." He also performed the song live on the national prime-time tv show on October 15th, 2003.

Production comes from A.B.S. (8 + drops), Mista Royce (4), Tommy Dubbs (1), Knowledge Illustrious (1), and Kredulous (1)

Who would have ever thought that this breed-born Philadelphian would be the talk of hip-hop's underworld?
