I was very critical of Chris Brown previously. keep in mind he is about the age Yauch was when he was tearing shit up back in the License to Ill days.. And Chris brown is the age where (many) of us were doing crazy shit too, stuff we may not be proud of. I know i've done SOME CRAZY SHIT, dirty, mean, disrespectful.

I wish I'd been doing it before, but i hope all of us, if only out of respect and love for our man MCA, start being more forgiving of people, more understanding, and not add to the negative energy fo the world by judging people to harshly. Since Yauch's passing, it's been on the forefront of my behavior-being kind, every word and action we take has an effect on our lives and the world.

Yeah but Yauch wasn't beating up his girlfriend.

But I get what you're saying.

I somehow missed this teaser video .So much has been going on but I'd like to get it all posted on my Yauch page sometime today.

Thanks for all of the great shit guys! Yauch would be proud.

I build websites for a living and we launched our new site today. I gave MCA a shout out in my bio. Not quite as cool as a mixtape or a mural, but I wanted to give my love and respect: http://www.bluek.com/who-we-are

Didn't see this one here: Elton John dedicates a tune to Yauch. Sure he pronounces his name wrong, but what the hell. Nice move, Sir Elton.

This wasn't posted already?! wow, i saw this a couple weeks ago on you tube and posted it to my own Facebook, and i would have posted it one here, but ahhh anyways... this is personally one of my fav's, just because i love how he said he went to one of their concerts, and he didn't know them personally, but really liked their music...IDK i just thought it was touching.

I Love Adam Yauch.
I truly lost apart of myself.
Rap in peace my beautiful friend.

Found this Tibetan blog. Anyone know who's taken that photo of Yauch and Dalai Lama? I was approached by a buddhist magazine on flickr and they want to use that pic. They found it amongst my collected pics of MCA, I think they believe I've taken the photo... but I wanna give credit to whom its due.

This is a brilliant article. I love horoscope stuff, and how amazing the guy went to Quaker summercamp with Adam as a kid?!!

I hadn't seen this before and I can take or leave Elton John but for some reason this really moved me. "Travel well my friend." Agreed, nice move Sir Elton

I know, it's just that this song/video is pretty much the exact opposite of what Adam and the Beasties are all about now, it comes across more like a parody or a joke than a tribute. Then again, as much as I don't believe him when he says it is a tribute, and as much as I dislike it and think it's disrespectful, maybe, MAYBE in his mind it was the right thing to do and it IS a real, heartfelt tribute. But even then, t's confusing and just... uncomfortable. =/

Cool Re: MCA Tributes

Bought loads of British magazines today which had a spread or several pages on MCA. Also got a tattoo... Will be posting scans and pics in appropriate threads later tonight.
