Andrew Stockdale(Wolfmother)-Keep Moving

surprisingly good album. Just found out about it even though it's been out for a year. For whatever reason it was decided to release the album as an Andrew Stockdale solo album rather than under Wolfmother even though the lineup used to record the album is the same lineup used for the latest Wolfmother release that came out recently.

It's more than just a Led Zepp/Black Sabbath parody as is everything else he's done before. All the tracks are tight, concise, and powerful with some melodic gems. Most original work he's done.

Well there was a time when triple j as the national 'youth' broadcaster played a bunch of wolfmother stuff and he and the group were fairly well regarded. Then he made a dick of himself, and kicked out his band members, and it became easier to hate on him.

Personally I never liked it. I had the real Zeppelin and Sabbath to listen to. And so, so much average music gets a pass here just because it's local. Wolfmother epitomised that paradigm. In a totally proactive way.
