siiick. shit's getting real. this will likely be the last considerable release we get directly from the camp, outside of compilations, remasters, concert footage, etc.

sounds like it promises to be something special.

im also really interested to to see what a beastie project with minimal Yauch involvement tastes like, given he was traditionally such a driving force in their multimedia endeavors.

Any chance they'll release any audio as part of the package? That's what would excite me the most.

Didn't they go back in to the studio not long before MCA's death per his request? Part of me hopes if they release "new" songs with the memoir that something comes from those sessions.

The other part of me knows that if they do release something like that it will probably depress the hell out of me for a while

While it’s nice to look forward to something from Mike and Adam, this is likely the official last chapter. I hope I’m wrong. RIPMCA

Thank You Adam Yauch

On my audio wishlist are (a) Desperado (studio version); (b) the Jerry Lewis; and (c) Hot Sauce Part I. Supposedly, all of these exist although it wouldn't surprise me if they don't want to publish the older stuff due to lyrical content.

Back around the time of Yauch's passing, Mario said he had a gaggle of incompleted tracks from the hello nasty sessions. Said alot of it is pretty fresh too. I'd like to put some ears on those cuts.

I agree. He definitely had major influence on so many projects. From videos, PB cover art, awesome i shot that video, Ill communication artwork, etc., etc.

So true, and bittersweet. But I'm looking forward to something from Mike and Adrock nevertheless.

I know they promised something a little unorthodox, and 'bonus batter' according to CJ, but I really don't equate the release of their memoirs with the opening up of the vault. I also think the story, coming from Adam and Mike - with perhaps some additional insight from Yauch in a historical sense - is a strong enough selling point. They had an amazing career and journey.

That said, I wouldn't say no to some golden nuggets!

true dat. more likely outtakes, alternate takes, and demos of existing cuts. and a whole lot of unearthed photos.
