Hey hang on, they did it proud there! No one can ever do that song like the BB's and Cee Lo knows that and won't overstep the mark. Also, you have to keep in mind that millions of people watching this show will only be familiar with this one Beastie record. And it is a classic record loved by all who hear it. (I would bet that even people who hate hip hop in general will turn up their radio when 'Fight for your right to party' comes on. )
Very telling that all these musical tributes are being performed by black artists paying respect to a white artist. I mean, has that even ever happened before in the old US of A??!!! MCA Adam Yauch was a well respected man!! |
