Another sad loss.

Everything that I've read about Philippe Zdar Cerboneschi is fascinating and inspiring.

For studio/production heads, I think I originally got this link from someone on BBMB (sorry to not credit properly):-

https://www.soundonsound.com/people/...ake-some-noise

- Really interesting.

I was unaware that he overcame cancer in his 20s (which just makes his loss seem that bit more tragic). Further inspiring info in this obituary from the Guardian:-

Peace and Love to Yauch.

That sound on sound interview makes me realize that everything is harder to do than l first think and basically these skilled people deserve to live the lives they do

zdar helped create the “french touch” which is fing huge and he helped create monstrous records. there’s a filter technique he created in the 90s that i still use to this day on every beat i make. his life and artistry will be live on through those he inspired.

This week, after the tragic passing of producer Philippe Zdar, we wish to offer everyone a free access to the video he has done with MWTM.

Discover his “Deconstructing a Mix” video in which he’s remixing the song "Lisztomania" by Phoenix at Motorbass studio in Paris and witness his entire mixing and production process explained in detail.

We hope you’ll find his energy and passion inspiring,

The MWTM Team
