Dunno about no Beer Bongs n all that, but here in the UK, it is customary for all visitors to these fine shores to have a YARD-OF-ALE in the first real pub they visit. Basically (in case you don't have these in the US) it is a beer glass a yard long. Full. With the object being to down it in the fastest time possible.



Those of you who have visited the UK previously and do not have your Certificate of Yardsmanship will have trouble passing through customs next time you visit.

I don't plan it

Every time I planned it was a kind of disaster... a joyfully drunkenness arrive when you're relaxed and in good company.
And... ah... there tons of other alchoolic better than beer to get drunk.

cool. I've never travelled to those parts. It's probably just here-say that I've been picking up though. I do have a few British coworkers that say they prefer room temp stouts over chilled.

And yes, UK people love theyr beer a little less cold than irish ones.
Also in ireland serve 2 different guinness, extra cold and... just guinness.

in Italy its not even that common to drink the stout beer... i mean most of "us" use to drink the blonde one (its a classic with pizza) or like me the white one (mmm soooo goooood......)

calliope is right, in italy german-like blonde beer is the most popular.
In the last 10 years several irish-styled pubs came up here and people begun to be oriented on different kinds like the white or the "weiss" one.
Personally I love the stout and can't drink a double malted one.

But with a pizza... oh yes, blonde only please!
