Re: What's for TEA?
I really liked this pitiful effort, and I hope to do it again next week.
How long does it take to cook sausages? A long time if you forget to turn the hotplate on. Yes, the pan is still stained from the deep fried peanut butter incident. No amount of scrubbing or chemicals have helped. I like to put them on low and let 'em burn. After they are done, add: Tasty! I like hot stuff, and on Susan and my recent trip to the big smoke, we found a great place called Nando's that makes great chicken and great sauce. Susan had to settle for the vegetables, but she says she liked it. Then you put them in the fridge, because I like them luke warm, then you eat them. Yummers.

Re: What's for TEA?
chicken breasts marinated in soy, sweet chilli, coriander, garlic + lime juice
then baked made up a dressing of sesame oil, lime juice, soy sauce, coriander (forgot to get it fresh), then sliced half a mango over it + let the juice drip in. add tomato, cucumber, lettuce, spring onion, chicken rice vermicelli + fresh chilli

oh, my goodness, i love love love all those flavours! although i would have added hella chilli and just had it straight up with some ramen, because i lack imagination. but that looks nice, i'll try it some day! i just can't make the fruit in my main meal thing gel, though. should i be less scared? ha!
question about the chicken: do you marinate them in a bowl overnight, and then just wack them in the oven? i'm scared to bake chicken because i fear it will go too tough. what say you?

i know many people can't deal with fruit in their main mean but i'm a big fan. apricot chicken, pork with apple sauce, lychee and prawn salad, etc. works best with white meats i guess. i draw the line at pineapple on pizza. really the mango just soaks up the salad dressing and isn't overly sweet at all. but if you left it out, no big deal. i should have added more chilli yes. the chilli wasn't even hot? stupid supermarket chilli. is green hotter than red?

dear americans,
WARNING! WARNING! EWWW GROSS CLAIRE MAYONNAISE CONSUMPTION EEWWWW!
this is how you do pizza. actually, this is how you don't do pizza. tesco, frozen, egg based condiments with no salad. but we were lazy and very poor tonight. so me & scott broke the bank with a frozen sweet chilli chicken from t-e-s-c-o: here is scott with the mayonnaise. he is getting ready to go on tour and packing - his luggage had this sticker on it. do you see what he did there? here is the finished product. oh, it looks bad, doesn't it?! it wasn't very nice. i had one slice and then just peeled the chicken and cheese offa the rest. woops.

Re: What's for TEA?
Thankyou, ms. crafty, but really I just can't be bothered to go the extra distance.
This is my attempt to 'spice up' my meals by adding more than one ingredient to the mix. This is kidney beans, Jalapenos, onion, tomato and braised beef and chilli powder. Nothing is fresh, it's all canned stuff. Sorry, I forgot to take 'before' pics. This is walaby mince and white onion. Yes, I use a cleaver instead of a spoon. Then you put the chilli on top of the mince, add some more jalapenos and hot sauce It was great.

wallaby mince?
i would have thought they would have been, like, erm, protected or something. i don't know. maybe wallabies are a dime a dozen where you guys live. maybe they shop in the cornershop. maybe they drive cars. who knows. um, i would recommend perhaps mixing your chilli and your 'wallaby mince' (seriously, wtf? are you joking? it's like me saying golden eagle mince or highland wolf mince) together and eating it with rice. and a pitta bread. EDIT: this post wasn't meant to sound so critical, hah! i mean, i would like to try this wallaby mince you speak of. it just sounds so bizarre.

my god you know that my country will never stop making fun of australia because of that, i feel that you should be warned although i guess i shouldn't be too critical, i mean, if you didn't kill and eat them, they'd get to your babies i know that's probably dingoes, but i'm american, they're all the same to me |

Re: What's for TEA?
Hey! What's with all the wallaby meat hating? It's perfectly normal, it's just like eating rabbit or rat meat. Wallabies are bred in farms for the very purpose. And it tasted better than the beef mince I usually undercook.
Re: mixing together, yes it would have been better as I tried to mix it together once it was laredy on the plate. There was not enough room to do a thorough job.
