Beastie Boys will be hosting a live radio show from their studio on Thursday December 8 at 3pm EST, playing records and talking shit.

To listen to the show, you'll need the latest version of WinAmp if you're on a PC or iTunes if you're on a Mac.

Details on how to tune in have been posted on BeastieBoys.com.

And for those of you in timezones other than US EST, you should tune in at the following times:

PST, USA: 12 noon
CST, USA: 2pm
East Coast, Australia: Friday 7am (6am in QLD)
West Coast, Australia: Friday 4am
Central, European: Thursday 9pm
Eastern, European: Thursday 10pm
GMT: Thursday 8pm

We probably won't be hosting an archived copy here afterwards, but I'm sure you'll be able to get a copy given that a lot of people will record it.

I noticed that music is already playing. Is it just gonna be like this until 3pm tommorow when the boys come on? -- just verfying I'm on the right station.

Oh, and I have Windows, and iTunes is working for me. I don't think PC users need to download Winamp if they already have iTunes.

In any event, big ups to the B-Boys for doing this. So loyal to their fans...

Yeah....mine defaulted to a Windows Media Player....how do I change it to WinAmp?

The music you hear playing is other programs on the station we're broadcasting on. Beastie Boys will only be on from 3pm EST on Thursday.

Your system must be set to direct all PLS files to your DVD player software.

To work around this, open WinAmp then press 'Ctrl L' and paste in "http://205.188.215.229:8016/listen.pls" (no quotes). This will play the stream for you.

I hope this post doesn't get deleted; but: If I played the radio show and opened my media software at the same time and set it to record 'Mono Out' it would record the show, correct?

If you want to record the show for your own personal use, that's cool. I suggest you use this WinAmp plugin to record it to MP3. It's great.

When you open Winamp click on options>preferences>file types and make sure that pls files are associated with winamp
