Interestingly enough, when one of my friends first saw that jacket, the first thing he said was: "You look like one of those guys from Jet!!" I was hoping he would think The Strokes or someone infinitely better, but seeing as how he's one of those "pod people," that's probably the only "garage rock revival" band he's aware of. P.S. - That Harris Tweed jacket belonged to my late grandpa and I recently stumbled upon it when my grandma was cleaning out his stuff. So wooo, in your face vintage stores. |
Re: The Family Album
vintage stores = gay with and h and e. why should I pay fifty dollars for a shirt thats probably in my attic. looks like it's from my attic, too. I got my jacket at Value Village and I wear it not for fashon but for warmth. michigan gets cold.

Re: The Family Album
are they vintage clothing stores, or just used clothing? the only real difference is that vintage stores only take "fashonable" clothes and jack up the prices. Used clothing is great because I find cheap pants there all the time. I don't think I've bought new pants in four years.
|
Re: The Family Album
vintage clothing stores rule... really good clothes on the cheap. that's where i get most of the clothes i wear.
|
Re: The Family Album
hmm. I must be seeing different vintage clothing stores. Around here, they're all hipster stores that appeal to the indie and emo kids with tons of their parents money.

They go and perform at parties and different functions in the town that I'm from. It is funny now but when I was in highschool and they showed up at lunch time well... not so funny. :D |
