those kerazy australians!
that looks like fun. i would partake in such fun. i would try to come as justine frischmann. i'm almost working the hair. i have to hold a themed dinner night for cancer research uk, and i was thinking the 80s. i thought music, outfits - easy. but then i thought food. the 1980s were the BOOM period of convenience food. we would just be feasting on crispy pancakes (british kids, work with me here..), pop tarts and jello pudding. barf. so i've gone for a french night instead. bonsoir! |

Re: The Family Album
^ the sad thing is, you could just about legitimately wear that stuff on the street now, the 90's is chic again.
Albeit in a less grungy, more glamourous way. Flanno is getting big here. |
Re: The Family Album
Getting ready for the war.
Bread anyone? |

Re: The Family Album
hey, that's a good tip. I found the 15 year old part of my brain thinking, "hmm, that's kind of a cool outfit". ha. I did buy a plaid flannel shirt some months ago to wear. I altered it to have a more fitted look, but it's still pretty 90's. I should just burn it.

http://www.woolworths.co.nz/cider_sc...vest_97451.htm NZ$8.99 for about 6-7 standard drinks, i think the first 1/4 is easy to drink but it gets progressively worse from there i like referring to cask wine as goon |
Re: The Family Album
ahhh cider. its what all the foreigners drink at the soccer, its not scrumpy but it is pretty cheap. i'm keen to try it, i'm very sick of beer.

Re: The Family Album
^ bloody kids.
I haven't noticed anything as yet. However, Melbourne's CBD & Chapel St will have a 2am nightclub lockdown like Surfers in a few months. Whoever instigated that should go up there and hang around with all the wasted kids left in the street after their lockdown, and see if there's less violence than if they had been allowed back in to a venue to drink themselves unconcious... |
Re: The Family Album
are clubs still open til 5 tho? coz that;s what we have here. you cant get in to anywhere after 3, but places are still open til 5. they bought that rule in because of the fighting and because of taxi queues. stupid thing tho is those rules have only made things worse.
i miss the days of when i was 18. no 3am lockouts, no smoking bans, $1 drinks weren't banned, and jocks in popped up collared pink shirts hadn't discovered crystal meth to go along with their fucking over inflated egos............ |
Re: The Family Album
Yeah, they'll be open as late as they always were - I do think it will make the violence (which, in my opinion is greatly exaggerated) much worse. There's already enough muzza-related aggro on the Chapel St without refusing them entry to Zos (or whatever it's called now). Roided out idiots, meth affected fuckwits and the dangerously drunk - all stuck out on the street together. Sounds great, yeah?
They recently reduced the number of people allowed into CQ from 7000 to 2000 - because there was a brawl on the balcony there ages ago involving like, 20 people. 20 people out of 7000 isn't too bad, really. And they managed to stop it and turf the offenders. What's the problem? |
