So I decided to give it a spin again, as it's been months since I last heard it.

It's a lot better than I remembered. A lot. MCA doesn't sound as old anymore. The production doesn't seem as weak. And it's a lot of fun to listen to. Now, I'm glad this is the album the Beastie Boys returned with. Hopefully people who didn't like it go back and give it another chance.

I did the same thing with HN.It now one of my favorites.Unfortunely I havent had the chance to do this with TT5B's.My cover is all that remains.Kids lost the disc after a couple of weeks from the release.

ouch, that's too bad...tt5b is one of my favourites probably my second favourite (though i still don't own ill communication), after hello nasty...I think i liked tt5b because it was SUCH A RELEASE from hearing all that BS rap and hip hop that is going on today, AKA talking about sipping bicardi in the club etc. it was sooo much different then todays other mainstream stuff it was a great release....and also it was the first cd of theirs i bought etc.

Not trying to diss TT5B's but I cant possibly understand how you could rank TT5B's over CYH or PB.I dont want to switch up the threads context so I'll leave it at that.

To The 5 Boroughs was the first Beastie Boys cd that I've ever listened to thanks to my friend's cousin, all though I've heard songs before when I was younger and didn't know who they were but liked the songs like Intergalactic, and No Sleep Til Brooklyn, but TT5B is what got me hooked and now I'm a Beastie Boys fan. When I bought all the other albums it took me a couple of listens to like Ill Communication and Check Your Head because they were so different from TT5B. Unlike the other albums, I liked TT5B right away and I still listen to it every now and then. I equally love all their albums, they're all good in their own way ya know what I'm saying? (y) By the way, that really sucks what happened to your cd Bobtwi. :(

I was into the Beasties when Ill Communication was released back oh so many years ago. I stopped listening to them as much plus I lent my Beasties CD's to a friend and she had her car broken into and they were nicked (thieves with musical taste, who would have thought it).

I saw the videos for Ch-Check It Out and Triple Trouble on one of the music channels so bought the new album and totally got back into them again. Whilst I don't think it is their best album I still love it and hope it isn't another 6 years before they release the next!

It's fun to go back and listen after a "break" of a few months, because you notice things that you hadn't before and have new favourite songs on the album.

A year? That aint a long time.

Half you kids act like LTI wasn't released 20 years ago. Fight For Your Right is ancient. TT5B is still brand new.
