i was working at the CCA today (centre for contemporary arts, glasgow) at a documentary filmmaker's thang but also on was an exhibition by the artist marcel dzama - he did the artwork for beck's guerro. and he has done some work with spike jonze. i liked his stuff. i liked it a lot. his ink and watercolour drawings sorta remind me of something sarky might do? maybe?

Thanks, I mostley like to do graffiti, like you can see in the upper corner and the bottom one, but I like the script too, I just dont do it that much because I dont think im very good at it. I had to rewrite that sentance about a hundrew times to get it the EXACT way and size that I wanted it. I started off just drawing that but then I added the other stuff (stuff he liked) off of the top of my head.

you know, the more I think about this, the more angry I get. I'm not sure if that last post really conveyed my dismay. because like, I thought of something in my own brain and made it with my own hands. I didn't say anything when you were practicing drawing in the style of Crumb, even though I thought it was lame. I mean, Crumb is recognizable, so like, fine, people wouldn't accidentally give you credit for inventing that style.

I don't mean to be a bitch or ruin your fun or anything, but it's like you infringed on my intellectual property. It's not "inspiration", it's imitation...at least concerning the cut out figure and general theme.

I go out of my way to create things that are unlike anything I've seen before. I even do research to make sure that my titles aren't something that's already been done. It's not like my work is nationally famous or recognized. You took one of my ideas, but because anyone who sees the piece won't know who I am, they will attribute the idea to you. and that's not fair.

I hope you can understand why I'm so upset. because I'm pretty fucking upset.

cool, but I like your lineart better than your coloring. the color throws it off somehow and ages it down a bit. solid style though man on the outlines. you ever get up? if so share I'd love to check it out.

I have heard of venice beach they provide legal walls. maybe some day I go there to paint. but for now I am working towards fine art and mailing art stuff to friends.

we were having a battle against three other teams from three other websites based on our sub culture. anyway, I was paired with a partner for this match against other people from other forums in teams. the competition started today, we both thought meh, lets just have fun, so we did. I did mines and he did his. both scaned pictures and one fused both on photoshop. so, today we are done and waiting for the other team competitors to finish.

I wasn't paying attention half the time I was sketching it and so the proportions were way out of whack but I kind of like that it's 'messed up'

that's a tough angle...I like the eyes and lips, they and the neck look larger, maybe this is some psychological element of the model
