Anyone got any for my awesomely cool and powerful fresh juicer that i got for 10 bucks from a garage sale (saw it in a catelogue a month later for $295 haha suckers)
Anyways Ive been making orange/apple/lemon juice (which is very good) orange/apple/lemon/celery/carrot (also good) tried pear/apple (not so good more like puree) tried a straight up vegetable (tomato/carrot/celery) also not so good.
I think I'm getting the amounts I need to put in wrong. Anyone got any tips on how to make a mean vegie juice? Or any other good combinations?
Cheers.

add some hot sauce or cayenne to your tomato/veggie juices to make them yummier.

the possibilities are really endless...beets make rad *very staining* juice too (y)

what model is it? i love juicers. i can't afford one, but want one so badly and know a lot of the brands pretty well. goddamn, did you get a good deal!

If my pear juice is coming out like purree do you think its cause the pears are too ripe or am I using the wrong type (the green ones, although I think I tried the brown ones at one point too)? Cause generally I like pear juice but when I do it in the juicer its just not as good.

this is my juicer (http://www0.epinions.com/content_184666525316) This baby will juice whole lemons peeled although i've found if i dont peel them i get a slight bitter taste from the pith and the skin.
I'll give the beetroots a go ...this is going to seem an uh duh but u do them raw right... its just ive never eaten raw betroot only pickled (y) on hamburgers(y) (y) (im sure its just as good as on a soy burger you gotta try it if you haven't already)

oh yes I"m going to try peach/strawberry/mango - awesome idea and summer is here. I can get that stuff cheap as except for banannas (oh how I miss banannas) I know there's no banannas in that combination I'm just lamenting.

Anyways if anyones still reading this I'm still hoping to get more recipes and especially like quantities for something like a vegie juice cause I think I have the proportions wrong which why is doesn't taste all that good....

Good idea on the grapefruit I love it and hadn't thought of trying it.
I haven't tried juicing passionfruit yet. Id imagine you'd have to get a fair few even to get a slight flavour. If I see them cheap I"ll give them a go though. Thanks.

And yeah, banannas I forgot what they taste like and I used to eat one everyday. I miss my banannas. I saw them on special for 9.99. I was tempted to buy one but I"m like fuck that I used to pay 99c a kg, 1.99 max.

I think Brevilles made by Aussies. That'd probably explain it. Yeah I'll pick up some beets next time I'm at the fruit n veg market. Thanks for the tip. I'll let you know how it goes.

Same as Cosmo, I want a juicer but they are so expensive. I have heard wonderful things about people who juice. Is there anything you cant throw in a juicer?

My aunt juiced through out her whole pregnancy and loved the way she felt the whole time...

Strangely enough, you can juice a potato...but the juice tastes terrible.
From personal experience the only thing that really doesn't juice well is banana. Best to whizz it in a blender and then mix with juice, or just make a smoothie instead.

And my blender is a Breville, I thought they were British:confused:
