i know that way way back the beatsies did some shows ( pre l.t.i.) with the fat boys (disco 3) and kurtis blow with dj aj. i don't know how close they are ( how the hell would i?). what i do know is that there are certain artists in hip hop who remain legendary regardless of how much of the culture's history you listen to and study. no matter how deep you delve into rare records, you keep coming back to these artists saying, "damn that's nice." in my opinion, the beasties and kurt blow are certainly amongst this group.

now i wouldn't say that all of kurt's work was excellent, but through all his production and emcing - he's earned my respect. he just has a voice that is electrifing, and that gets me to this point.

the beasties be currently working on a hip hop album (right?). in my opinion they should reach out to kurtis, and insert his golden voice on some type of a chorus within a song. i'm telling you, the man has a voice that would create a great deal of momentum for these mc's to come back into a song, after his chorus, and keep the momentum going.

now if you're saying , "well, the beasties do just fine with their own chorus concepts". and i'm saying "of course they do".

but yoooooooooooooo (echo). i think kurt blow would team up just fine with these boys, and certainly get fresh. :D
i don't know, it's just an idea that i wish would come true and be put to wax.
(and yo, go to youtube and watch kurt's basketball video. it's not the greatest song, although the references are dope, but wouldn't it have been like the greatest video to have been on the set while they were filming it. it certainly didn't like drug free. but that's not the point.)

beasties + kurtis blow = certified fresh composition
