yeah, I took those myself. I'll go on little journeys around the city and take a few snaps. I'll also bring my camera to work, alot of the night shots are from my way home.

I'm just glad I got my camera back, it's been sitting at my mom's house in Ohio for a year. Stand by for more pics! I'll be updating regularly.

I took these pictures for an amateur macro-photo competition not too long ago. I was sick on the day I planned to hand them in, which also happened to be the cut off date, so I never got around to submitting. All of them are resized here, and they don't look to great, but still. I'm no pro, so shut up.

They are of plants from my work and around my neighborhood.

This is a chrysanthemum, and I can spell it without having to spell check. You can see that winter is coming.

Thanks. I can't see your shots at the moment zount but I love macro photography. I got a half decent digi cam last year with a great super macro function. It's nowhere near as good as my professional set up but I love doing random macros when I'm out and about. I'm thinking of doing a collection and speaking to some people about taking it further (maybe an exhibit or something?).

Technically I'm An Art Director, so I do the whole package.

My degree/ MA had me doing everything from Illustration to Photography so you had to have a decent bit of knowledge in a few practices.

I shoot 40% myself and 60% through directing another photographer mainly because I'm too busy to do it all and my 40% is usually a reshoot because I'm quite hard to please, especially if I think I can do it better myself.

Edit: Also, the beauty of photography is that with someone half decent gear and some white space can create a studio and claim to be a photgrapher. Plus! Anyone with a digicam can take some wicked shots, it doent really need that much schooling to get some good results. I love that aspect of photography, it shows up a lot of prissy, pissy photographers who think they rule the shoots.

I take loads of macrophotos of my flowers, I wish I could get even closer.
I bought a new camera a few weeks ago, but it turned out crap so I returned it to the shop.
It took some persuation, but they took my excuses in the end (like, you could hear the zoom when filming.

Met a friend of mine who works on the ferry to Helsinki for some (almost) free tickets for the weekend (I'm going to her house warming party)
and decided to take a walk to one of the biggest flea markets in town nearby.

yeah, I rarely get lobster and it's only for a special occasion. It was our 4th anniversary and the lobster alone was $40. It kind of filled me up but I was hungry 2 hours later.

There's a chinese supermarket in Queens that sells like 3 live lobsters for less than $40. And you get to hear them squeel while cooking them!

to offset my double post, i dug out an old photo from my photobucket that i took on a job this summer.

this is a very old and currently unoppperational flood gate near the end of a creek that i worked on. the thing is so massive, and the wall that would drop down is solid steel. they used to drop it t prevent surges into the river during the rainy season, but it took an enormous amout of electricity to move the thing that they just propped it in the open position for good.

Yup haha. Bought it for the video capabilities as a temporary camera before I get enough to buy a RED camera (district 9, book of eli, various other films have been shot on the red. an episode of house was shot on the 5d though)

So I figured while I have it I may as well take some awesome pictures.
