I thought it hit #1 sometime in '86. Although I could be wrong...
Where do they have the official sales figures? It should be diamond status by now.

I know it hit #1 on the Billboard charts in '86. It should be pretty damn close to diamond, especially spike of sales after Yauch passed.
It's hard to believe that 5 out of the 13 songs became singles.

the album came out in november 86. i dont know how long it took to reach #1, however.
