Just had a beautiful dinner with my wife, my mum and my step-dad, for my step-dad's birthday. We dropped them home and got a phone-call a minute later from my step-dad, saying the house had been ransacked.

Fucking kick in the guts; I'm just glad they weren't home when the little shits broke in. The missing shit is highly sentimental jewellery, but at least nobody is hurt. Cops might send forensics out in the next day or two.

They're getting older, and it shits me to think that this has happened to them. I haven't spoiled for a fight in quite a while, but my patience is feeling more than a bit tested.
