The 4 year thing was a (I suppose subtle) joke that anyone who goes on about stuff is that is 4 years old is dull. It didn't work so I couldn't be bothered to explain.

The ignoring alarm thing was a comment on life.

Suppose either of those could be annoying to the wrong person. Some people are just annoying to other people though without intending to be. words words words...
